I really wasn't trying to get a macho pic taken. The real story there was that up until that point, our squad only carried M14s and one B.A.R. (the Army got the new M16 long before the Marines). So we had just been given that M60 shoulder-fire machine gun and it was like getting a Christmas present to us.
